This week noticed the culmination of the primary main phase of labor of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing, and the outcome of two years of a research inquiry into arts and health by the publication of Creative Health: The Arts for Health and Wellbeing. To present a direct link, via consultative processes, with government and non-authorities organisations concerned in, or aspiring to be concerned in, the sector of the arts and inventive expression. This assessment appears to be like at the subjective, or self-reported, wellbeing outcomes of visible arts tasks aimed at adults who are experiencing, or have experienced, diagnosed mental health conditions. The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing (APPGAHW) was formed in 2014 and aims to improve consciousness of the benefits that the humanities can bring to health and wellbeing.

The report was researched and written by former Arts for Health Research Associate, Dr Rebecca Gordon-Nesbitt who will be unpicking parts of the report which focused down on the elements that affect our health. The expanded programme will run for 2 years from October 2017 involving over 800 older folks and 800 volunteers.
